Amy’s House Basement Organization & Survivor Independence Tote Project will focus on organizing the Amy’s House basement to improve efficiency, dignity, and safety by creating clearly labeled storage systems for donations and preparing Independence Totes for survivors exiting the shelter.
These totes will ensure survivors leave with essential items that support stability, independence, and successful transition to permanent housing. This project will focus on:
- Sorting and organizing donated items
- Creating an inventory system by category
- Assembling Exit/Independence Totes with essential household and personal items
- Improving accessibility and flow of the basement storage area
The project will reduce staff time spent locating items, ensure equitable distribution of
donations, and support survivor independence at exit.
