Help Lincoln County Child Advocacy Center by painting their fence! This is a safety project for the children CAC serves, and volunteers can help ensure the children they help feel welcome at the center.

Volunteer at Christian Ministry of Lincoln County's soup kitchen and help open up, cook, serve, clean, and close up the kitchen! Christian Ministry of LC served over 23,000 meals last year, and volunteers are integral to their process. Beyond working in the kitchen, volunteers might also help in the pantry, clothing closet, and warehouse.

Volunteers should be aware that parking is limited and should only park in areas designated for Christian Ministry or as public parking. After arriving, volunteers should go to the dock and ask for Woody or Shirley.

Volunteers can help Sally's YMCA get the East Lincoln Community Garden ready for a new season by repainting wrought-iron benches, a table, and chairs, as well as prep the garden itself! The chairs and benches allow volunteers to take load off on a hot day and enjoy the garden work they are doing. The EL Community Garden provided over 3000 lbs of fresh food to the food ministries in 2025, and this year, they're looking to do the same if not more!

Join the City of Lincolnton in helping put on the 77th Annual Easter Egg hunt open to our community! This event is a fun, family-friendly time, and volunteers will help run games, give out prizes in each age group, as well as hide eggs for the hunt! The event is from 10AM to 12PM, but volunteers should arrive between 8:30 and 9AM to be assigned to tasks. Each volunteer will play a key role in making this cherished community event a success!

Volunteers will help the Sunrise Resource Center add an herb garden with monkey grass as curbing, re-locate pencil boxwoods, and begin spring harvesting and summer planting. Volunteers should bring gloves, bottled water, and shovels. This community garden that will feed the Sunrise neighborhood and surrounding government housing residents. The SRC Garden serves as a fresh food source in a food dessert and allows SRC to provide recipes and cooking classes to coordinate with garden plantings.

Help Shining Hope Farms paint existing therapy boxes that clients use in occupational, physical, and speech & language therapy! The boxes are located in outdoor rings. Volunteers will help with painting and sanding. This project will extend the lifespan of essential therapy equipment and reduce replacement costs for Shining Hope Farms, helping to ensure they can continue providing therapy to individuals in need!

Help Special Olympics of Lincon County by volunteering at this year's Spring Games. Spring Games are held each year, and athletes from across the county compete in all kinds of events! Volunteers will help assist with handing out medals and other tasks as needed.

Help spruce up A Place to Grow's outside playground area and get it ready for spring! Cleaning up the outside playground area will impact the students as well as the staff and other support personnel, making everyone better able to thrive!

Volunteers will help with weeding, raking, cleaning, organizing, and possibly planting.

Help Salem Industries plant a garden for the adults with disabilities who gain skills and purpose at their organization. Volunteers will work with these individuals to till the ground and get the raised beds ready for the garden. This project will be a fun educational experience for Salem Industry consumers as well as the volunteers.

Join the Lincoln County Senior Center in preparing their garden for the new growing season in consultation with local experts and following their advice. Volunteers will help with prepping the garden as well as planting. Skills needs are bending, squatting, digging, and pulling.

The Senior Center Spring Garden Spruce Up is a project that includes partnership with Home Extension and Master Gardeners of Lincoln County to prepare our garden for the growing season. This area of the Senior Center provides a space for socialization as well as a learning opportunity for growing in our region, both in ground and also in containers and raised beds. This garden will allow for a group that offers daily and weekly purpose, as well as provides vegetables and herbs that seniors can take home, knowledge of how to maintain small garden areas at their own homes, and a chance to gather with friends in a safe space.

Join the Lincoln County Family YMCA to help get their grounds ready for summer camp season! Volunteers will help enhance grounds and playground areas by raking, mulching, or weeding. They will also help pressure wash the splash pad area, paint, repair fences and reorganize play activities! All of these activities will help to ensure that the summer camp can be a fun, safe place for children to learn and grow!

Join Journey of Hope by volunteering on Distribution Day for our homeless and vulnerable community. Volunteers will help pack and distribute blessing bags, to-go meals, and needed hygiene items, blankets, clothes, etc.

This project supplies much needed items and food supplies to our unsheltered homeless and our extremely vulnerable family. We also pray with those that request it.

Volunteers need to be outgoing, organized, and very compassionate. They should have a heart for the homeless and be able to meet for a short meeting the day before distribution day.

Amy’s House Basement Organization & Survivor Independence Tote Project will focus on organizing the Amy’s House basement to improve efficiency, dignity, and safety by creating clearly labeled storage systems for donations and preparing Independence Totes for survivors exiting the shelter.

These totes will ensure survivors leave with essential items that support stability, independence, and successful transition to permanent housing. This project will focus on:

Join Soul to Soul Outreach in etching identifying serial numbers onto bicycles belonging to our neighbors experiencing homelessness and poverty. This project will allow our neighbors to keep their property and, in the unfortunate situation when their bike is stolen, they can retrieve their belongings. This will lead to less theft because now the belongings can be identified. Our neighbors will have more reliable transportation to their places of employment.

Volunteers will take pictures of our neighbors with their bikes and serial numbers to have a record of their property. One volunteer will create a file of neighbor and bike serial number, while another will etch the bikes with their assigned number. They might also man a sign-up table for bike repair classes through a local volunteer.

Bring joy to VIA Health's hospice and palliative patients and make them feel important, thought of, and cared about by helping paint their doors.
